Comments: In the past week:

I disapprove.

I knew this was coming, but it nevertheless surprised me. Thank you for writing this blog over the years - without it, I probably never would have met you.

Au revoir, bonne chance, et bon courage!

Will, I've enjoyed this blog, and past emails w/you about mint juleps, for the past four years. Good luck in the future!

Congatulations and best of luck.

you don't know me, but i have enjoyed crescat and the many discusions it has engendered for several years. From the law to culinary culture to the literature of the former soviet republics and the links to other blogs of intellectually engaged persons, it is always "thick" and relevant.
keep perusing used book stores.
luck is important, but just so the skills and the tools. you and your coterie have them. lead.

Aww, man.

But why not keep posting anyway? I, for one, don't read Crescat for law-school gossip anyway.

Posted by Sigivald at June 1, 2007 04:06 PM

This makes me feel very sad. I realize now that your postings (like the law school experience) were precious in part because they were finite and fleeting. Farewell and fare well.

Posted by Kory at June 1, 2007 06:40 PM

Congrats! I'll miss you.

Posted by Jay at June 2, 2007 10:14 AM

You'll be missed. But what's the occasion for quitting? Are you clerking? For who? And what about when a clerkship is over?

Posted by Stuart Buck at June 3, 2007 04:40 PM

While I'm sad to see the end of this blog, I wish you luck in all your future endeavors.

And if my knowledge of "ex-"bloggers is worth anything, within a while you'll be back--maybe on another blog, maybe guest-posting, maybe here. But it's tough to stay away for too long.

Ciao!

From the "You don't know me but I'll miss you anyway" chorus:

I've often disagreed with your posts but have always respected what you had to say. I hope this isn't the last time I'll see that byline.

As we say in the corporate world when somebody leaves the company: "Best of luck to you in all your endeavors." And I mean it, too.

PS, please let folks know what you'll be up to (unless you posted it and I didn't notice, which case...please post it again)

In response to those who have asked:

This summer, I'll be living in San Francisco studying for the bar exam. After that, I'll be clerking for Judge Michael McConnell on the Tenth Circuit Cuirt of Appeals.

After that, only time will tell. Stay in touch.

Thanks for the blog, Will, and best wishes on the year clerking with Judge McConnell. You will have a wonderful year, and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

Congratulations on keeping this up for so long. Welcome to the realm of the ex-blogger. May your withdrawal symptoms be short.

Will,

I have much enjoyed Crescat. This is a great disappointment. But it's great to hear what you'll be up to next. It's hard to imagine someone being a better judge to clerk for than Judge McConnell.

Although knowing you, you probably know the restaurants aroudn SF better than I by now, if you want any food or other extracurricular recommendations for the south bay, use the email address. I've lived here on and off since '89, and I'd love to help someone who's provided so many amusing distractions through law school.
