LBJ gets into clothes

So, I guess there are at least two ways of being interested in custom made clothes. First, there's English Cut's way - a fascination by craft, tradition etc.

The alternative is calling someone who makes pants describing that you want more space from where the "zipper (burps) ends, round, under my, back to my bunghole".

That, by the way, is President Lyndon Johnson attempting to order Haggar slacks. The recording is truly extraordinary.

Other highlights include LBJ, to the evident consternation of Haggar, trying to get shirts made of the same material as the pants, pockets from which LBJ's knife keeps falling out (do Presidents even carry knives these days), and the fact that the President apparently routinely lost and gained 15 pounds in a month.
