Milton Friedman, R.I.P.
I see Jeremy, below, has the link and the news that Milton Friedman, one of the greatest heroes of the Twentieth Century, is dead. In my own intellectual growth, Friedman's colleagues and proteges were probably bigger influences than the man himself, but that fact really just underscores the centrality of his influence to the libertarian movement in the second half of the century-- a huge number of serious (and seriously right) economists and political thinkers owed him intellectual debt.
