Reflections on some Reflections on a Revolution Once in France
It is Bastille Day, a day of great political significance to a number of people in Western Europe, and a day of great personal significance to yours truly, whose niece's birthday is also today. However, I suspect the former is of a great deal more general interest than the latter.
Rick Garnett offers some thoughts about the relationship of The Terror to religious exercise. Jason Kuznicki has a long list of interesting links.

Cash
Having just finished watching Walk The Line, it occurred to me that it really is time for me to rectify the terrible deficiencies in my collection of Johnny Cash CDs. All I have are Folsom Prison and San Quentin, both of which I adore. [I prefer the prison songs-- Folson Prison, San Quentin, etc.-- and the classics-- Walk The Line, Ring of Fire, Boy Named Sue, The Ballad of John Henry, Jackson-- to the spiritual songs.]
So which CD(s) should I buy next?
